Wait...Their Sister??? Chapter 10

Cool, I said, One sec. though, I have to go check my blood sugar. What? everyone asked. ------------------------------------------------ Oh, umI have juvenile diabetes like Nick. I just got diagnosed with it a couple months ago, I said. Well, OK then, mom said. I walked over to my bag and took out my omnipod. My blood sugar was normal, so I walked back to the rest of my family and sat down at the little table in between Joe and Nick. Hows your blood sugar? Nick asked. Its normal right now, I said, What about you? Youre lucky, mine was to low when I checked. Oh You know, this is pretty cool. I mean, we both have it, so we can both understand what the other ones going through. If you want to know anything about it, or just talk if your having a hard day with it, then me and you could talk, if you want, Nick offered. Yeah, thatd be really cool, thanks, I said smiling. Hey, anything for my little sis, he said, ruffling my hair a little. I stuck my tongue out at him, Psh, Im only a year and three months younger than you. Youre still my little sis, though. Whatever. We said our prayers, then started eating. I had a feeling that Nick and I were going to get a lot closer because we both had Diabetes. This could be the start of us hanging out a lot more, even though Joe and I are the most alike. I really liked that Nick and I could have this in common, it connected us. Hmmm, I wonder how Im like Kevin and Frankie? Well, Frankie is pretty much a mini-Joe, so I guess thats how Im like him, but what about Kevin? After we finished eating Kevin, Joe, Nick, and I went to the back lounge to watch TV. Kevin was flipping through the channels when I saw a picture of the three of them. Hey, go back to that! I said. Kevin changed it back. It was E! News. And here we have pictures of the Jonas Brothers, taken just yesterday, but there was a girl with them, the reporter said, a couple pictures came on the screen of us at the park while she was talking, No one knows who she is, but we know shes not famous, and weve never seen her with them before. So, whos this mystery girl hanging with the Jonas boys? When we find out, well be sure to tell you all. For other news Well, so much for no one knowing about me for a little while, I said. I hate paparazzi, they follow us everywhere, Joe said, Absolutely no privacy. Yeah, and we have an interview with Ellen today, Im sure that shell ask about you, Steph, Kevin said. Well, maybe you could just tell everyone about me then, instead of waiting for the next concert, I said. Yeah, and you can come on when we introduce you! Nick said. Ok, I said. -------------------------------------------- Ok, that wasn't the longest so far, but there's a long paragraph coming up next, and I didn't know if it would fit or not. Controlling type ii diabetes

Consult first with your doctor. According to the studies, aerobic exercises (walking, running, swimming, biking, treadmills) are the best and fastest way in controlling type ii diabetes. Chapter 48.. "Joe? What happened? Is he okay?" MeLaniie asked when she heard Joe answer the phone.. "MeLaniie?" Joe asked, it sounded like he had been crying.. "yeah.. is Nick okay?" "i dont know.. his blood sugar level got a bit too low and he collapsed.. the doctors are running some checks on him still.." "what hospital is he at?" "erm.. Heartford hospital.." "okay..well be there as soon as possible.." "okay.. see you then MeLaniie.." with that they both hung up..and MeLaniie started crying.. hysterically.. "hell be okay MeLii.. i know he will.." Alexas soft voice spoke as she heard the crying coming from her best friend.. "i hope so.. i dont know what id do with out him.." MeLaniie said as she hugged her boyfriend one last time before leaving.. "im going to miss you too Melsie" Nick smiled, kissing her.. "aww.." Alexa smiled, taking a picture of the two kissing.. ~A few minutes later MeLaniie made her way to the car.. leaving her boyfriend with his brothers.. as they drove off MeLaniie stared out of the window and waved to the boys.. ~ ~~the next few months basically went as, the girls going to school, Samantha trying to make it up to MeLaniie but she wouldnt listen, MeLaniie and Nick missing each other, the boys and Demi filming.. the girls visiting every weekend.. its now.. merry christmas eve, everybody! enjoy the story! =] -Next day- *Nicks POV* The following day was awkward. Mercedes came over around noon and was silent. All she did was nod, sigh, or cough. Thats when I started to get suspicious. Was this all because of yesterday? I repeated it over and over in my head and when I finally opened my mouth, Mercedes said she had to go. She left my house right on the spot. What is up with that girl? I know I was sort of wrong what I had done the other day but she cant hold a grudge. Can she? I slammed my back into the couch and shut my eyes tight. My thoughts filled the room as everything else had frozen. I think this must be the biggest mistake I have ever made with, Mercedes. I dont want to lose her. Not again I sat up and sprinted into the kitchen to the phone. It took me several attempts to get her number correct because of my nerves. My blood-sugar must be so low but it didnt matter right now. I needed to talk to her. My eyes moved left and right and my hands shook rapid. It rang 3 times before an answering machine. *Youve reached Mercedes! Im not here right nowso, leave a message and I will try to call you back, mk? Youd be surprised on what I would do for a girl I truly care about. Its crazy that you might not even believe it would even come out of me. I glanced down at my hand and it shaking quickly. Maybe now I should check my blood-sugar. As I stood up from the cushion to head to my room, I was only a few feet away from the staircase when my leg muscles became weak and unreliable. I flew forward but caught myself by the staircase pole. Thats when even my arms started to wobble. I pain shot through my entire body and it felt like something had hit my head. My eyes became heavier until in the end, they were inclusively shut. Everything was black. *Joes POV* I unlocked the front door and fell upon, Nick lying lifelessly on the steps. I shouted his name as I ran over to him and checked for a pulse. It was going but it was lengthy. I was scared to death. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed 9-1-1. After I had spoken to them, Kevin arrived. I looked at him. He stood in place; frightened. I cradled Nick in my arms. *Its going to be okayPlease (hold on)* Fair enough, sirens went off in the yard. Cops busted the door opened as paramedics rushed over to the scene. I let go of Nick and let them take him away to the hospital. Everyone sat in silence in natalies room letting reality set in. Joe couldnt stop kissing her and telling her how much he loved her. She smiled but was scared to death inside. He just nodded his head nervously. Kevin: you sure? Is your blood sugar low? Nick nervously nodded his head no. Kevin: whats the deal? Nick stayed quiet and looked a nervous wreck. He watched as nick looked to Sarah as if asking for help. Kevin turned his attention to Sarah who was giving nick a worried look. He noticed Joe and Natalie hadnt said a word. Kevin: ok enough. Whats the deal? No one answered. Kevin: nick look at me. He shook his head no. Kevin: nick. What is gong on? Nick looked to Joe for support but Joe just turned his head away. "Aren't you in Tennessee?" "No.... Look outside your balcony." I picked up my crutches, hobbled to my balcony and gasped. Nick was standing right there. He had a bouquet of black roses in the crook of his arm, and he was climbing up the willow tree. I held out my hand and took his, pulling him onto the balcony which could hold only two people. He grabbed me into a bone crushing hug. Since last time I saw him, he got taller. 5'6. I was only 5'4. I looked up at his face and saw it glistening with tears as he glanced down at my leg, and then to the stairs. We went inside, and he grabbed a vase and planted the flowers into it, pouring water from my sink into it. Then he helped me get down the stairs and saw Kevin. He silently went in back of Kevin and punched him in the back, and Kevin turned around, a wild look on his face. Then it was relieved. "Nick," he sighed. "How could you be so careless," Nick spat. His eyes were cold despite their warm chocolate colour. He scowled as he looked me up and down, lingering on my green eyes. Perfect. Just perfect. "Let's go," remarked Nick, pulling my arm practically out of its socket. "STOP!" I yelled. "Why would I want to go ANYWHERE with you after what you just did?!" "I travelled HALFWAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO SEE YOU!" he yelled. Then he slapped me across the face. It stung as I gripped it. Shelby bolted up from the couch and firmly grabbed his arm, squeezing it really hard. She was whispering so low that I could hardly make out what she was saying. I only caught a few words, like your life, career, slap and never again. Nick was scared. I was happy. A single tear slid down his face as he glided towards me silently, and pulled me into another hug, this one lighter with a bit of despair. "I'm sorry, I got out of control. I think it's my blood sugar," he said. "It's ok." I silently hobbled outside with Nick in tow, and sat down on the wood swing. I turned to not face him. but he rested one finger on my cheek, moving my face towards him. His finger was sweaty and warm, tan. His face moved towards mine and I felt something press against my lips. I didn't know, because my eyes were closed. Then I pushed him away and hobbled off, leaving him on the old, white swing.
